Knife Sharpening & Cutting Workshop

Join us for a master class in knife sharpening and cutting skills to celebrate the launch of EDITION by Another Country in collaboration with Blenheim Forge.

Blenheim Forge will be on site to teach you how to properly sharpen and care for your blade, prolonging its life and allowing you to get the best performance.

In addition, we will also have a professional chef who will teach you how to properly wield your knife, so your slicing and dicing skills will match the performance of your freshly sharpened blade!

You will be split into two groups of ten – one group will be doing sharpening, and the other, knife skills. This should take about an hour, followed with short break before you switch classes.

At the end we will be serving refreshments and you can have a look around the showroom (and maybe even pick up some Christmas presents!) Particpators in this workshop will also get a sneak preview of the EDITION by Another Country knife and the opportunity to purchase one of a limited run of 20 before they officially go on sale.

You will need to bring your own knife along with you, we will provide the rest.

Artist & Architect - Conversation on Brutalism

Throughout the month of June we are hosting “Concrete Paintings”, a solo presentation of 3D paintings by artist Charlie Warde from his Trellick Tower residency.

The paintings are of specific areas of Trellick Tower's grade 2* listed curtilage (areas surrounding the building but part of the overall scheme) that are damaged. Damage can be a result of bad building practices (badly poured concrete leading to cracks or spalling) or vandalism - graffiti.  All of the areas depicted are to be demolished to make way for more housing. This is controversial and contrary to their grade 2* listed status. Charlie has taken it upon himself to make paintings of these places (and other threatened buildings) to document them as accurately as possible whilst they still exist.

To celebrate the exhibition, and in conjunction with this year's London Festival of Architecture, we will be hosting a special evening on 22nd June; Charlie Warde in conversation with Stewart Dodd from Satellite Architects about all matters Brutalist.

When: Thursday 22nd of June 2017, 6:00 - 9:00pm

Where: Another Country - 18 Crawford Street, W1H 1BT
