This notebook is a version of the classic Mark One, with section sewn OTA binding. It has 160 pages of exceptionally good quality, vanilla smooth paper (120gsm), milled on the banks of the River Kent in Cumbria.
It is suitable for fountain pens. The cover & end pages are made in the Lake District from used coffee cups and FSC pulp, and develops a natural patina with use.
Mark+Fold use a special binding technique combining thread-sewing and cold glue, to retain flexibility in the spine. The result is as durable as it is elegant, and the book opens beautifully flat (180 degrees) without force.
Mark+Fold was founded in 2015 by Amy Cooper-Wright, to create an alternative to overly adorned stationery where shelf-appeal is placed before quality of workmanship and functionality. The result is a range of timeless luxury notebooks, exercise books and cards.
