As popular today as when it was designed in 1975, the Provençal cutlery range was very much attuned to the good food revolution of the 1970s, suggesting Mediterranean cooking, fresh seasonal meals and sociable dining. It pairs ever so well with Another Country's own tableware range.

Provençal Cutlery

by David Mellor

Materials: Martensitic or Stainless Steel / Acetal Resin / Brass

Table Knife: 21.2cm / 2.3cm

Table Fork: 20.1cm / 2.5cm

Dessert Spoon: 17.8cm / 4.4cm

Teaspoon: 13cm / 3.1cm

Exceptionally pleasant and practical to use, the Provençal Cutlery range by David Mellor has a lovely robustness of character and remains one of their best selling ranges after almost half a century of continuous production.

Designed in 1975, Provençal was very much attuned to the good food revolution of the 1970s with its gently rounded handles and soft curved shapes suggesting Mediterranean cooking, fresh seasonal meals and sociable dining.

We love how it pairs up so well with our Pottery Series range of tableware designed by Ian McIntyre.

The rounded knife blades are made from high carbon stainless steel for a superior cutting edge. Handles are acetal resin with brass rivets.

The Provençal cutlery is available to purchase as individual pieces or as a set. The set comprises 4x Table Knives, 4x Table Forks, 4x Dessert Spoons and 4x Teaspoons.

Made in Derbyshire, UK

David Mellor was a key figure in British design with an international reputation as designer, manufacturer and shopkeeper. Born in Sheffield and originally trained as a silversmith, he always specialised in metalwork and is particularly famous for his cutlery which won numerous design awards and which is in many international collections.
