Kitchen Tool Set
by Blackcreek M.T
Each of the tools in this set are made from a solid piece of wood, (with the exception of the mallet which is a two part piece) sturdy yet elegantly shaped, and designed to be used. Conceived of as free form sculpture, these tools offer a sense of creative connection to ordinary kitchen tasks.
After years working in the furniture and interiors industry Joshua Vogel created Blackcreek Mercantile & Trading Co. as a way to explore small scale product design and manufacturing, and to reconnect himself with the practice and idea of handmade goods. All of BCM&TCo.’s products are carefully and lovingly made by crafts people in their Kingston, New York studio. They strive daily to get closer in understanding to the elements of their craft, not further removed. They seek to connect good ideas with great materials through simple processes that, in turn, connect their customers directly to the essence of the work.
