This carving set comes in a handmade Birchwood box with a sliding lid, perfect as a gift, and permanent safe storage for your knives. The set includes a superb sharp carving knife, 2 pronged fork and professional ground sharpening steel, elliptical shape with guard.
Designed by Corin Mellor and newly introduced after 3 years’ development, the sinuously curving handles are made in Indian rosewood, the traditional material favoured by culinary experts. These are carefully hand finished and wonderful to use.
The knife blades exploit the latest techniques in steel casting to arrive at the beautifully curved bolster. Blades are precision ground and glazes to give a specially bright finish. Drawing on the David Mellor expertise in metalwork these are amongst the world’s finest knives.

David Mellor was a key figure in British design with an international reputation as designer, manufacturer and shopkeeper. Born in Sheffield and originally trained as a silversmith, he always specialised in metalwork and is particularly famous for his cutlery which won numerous design awards and which is in many international collections.

Our products are made to order in our workshops in the UK and Portugal. Furniture items currently have a 12-week lead time because of delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic, although some items are in stock and can arrive faster. This is indicated against each product as you select your option (this is also where we update the lead time). If you have specific requirements for delivery and would like to know if your order can be delivered sooner, please do contact us.
