- London based duo Wax Atelier draw on their backgrounds in music, crafts, geology and anthropology to revisit, with curious eyes, their chosen path. They revisit traditional techniques like candle dipping, paper making, and crafted textiles using natural wax. They look at the interconnection between the natural world and material culture.
A set of 3 wax food wraps, made from English linen with beeswax, naturally dyed with flower heads, roots and wood bark.
These waxed linen food wraps are a sustainable alternative to plastic cling film.
Each set of beeswax wraps comes in 3 handy sizes.
The eco food wraps can be used time and time again as a lunch sandwich wrap, and to protect foods such as leftovers, cheese, vegetables, half cut lemons, dried snacks and more. The waxy texture makes the wax food wrap pliable, so it sticks to itself, bowls and food. Once you’ve put the wrap on, just hold you hands in place a few seconds – the warmth from you hands keeps the shape in place.
Wax Atelier dye the cloth in small batches in-house, so each product will vary slightly in shade and tone, giving your wax food wraps a unique touch. This methodology informs this artisan studio’s design philosophy and aesthetics.
The beeswax wraps are made in the same studio as Wax Atelier’s luxury candles, with beeswax and natural, plant based dyes.
Full care instruction and a sheet of waxed paper is included.
So avoid plastics in your Natural Home kitchen, and instead opt for these natural wax food wraps.
