We’re delighted to announce that our Ori Wall Mirror has won a 2019 Wallpaper* Design Award in the ‘Best Natural Selection’ category.
The Ori Wall Mirror is part of the Ori Collection, our inaugural collaborative furniture collection with Ekkist, which demonstrates how design can be used to improve well-being. The Ori Collection is inspired by Ekkist’s ‘Ori House’, the UK’s first house typology designed specifically to benefit the health and well-being of the building’s occupants, based on the innovative WELL Building Standard™.
Catherine Aitken, Design Director at Another Country, who led the project, said, “The Ori Wall Mirror was designed in response to Ekkist’s Well-being principles and as part of a broader conversation with Ekkist about what constitutes a healthy home and a more mindful sense of being. A healthy home environment is light filled and this mirror is hinged so it can be orientated to reflect daylight around the room, as well as providing a generous bedroom or hallway mirror. With a renewed emphasis placed on the materials we surround ourselves with, this mirror alongside the other items in the Ori Collection aims to celebrate a home environment more connected to nature, in a small way bringing the outside in.”
