Come prepared to the Sample Sale

Thoughtful planning leads to better decisions

Our sample sales offer the opportunity to bring home beautifully crafted pieces at reduced prices. These are one-off items, ex-display models, discontinued pieces or prototypes, each with a story to tell and a place to find.

A successful visit starts before you walk through the door. Here’s how to prepare:

1. Start with measurements

Knowing your space is essential. Bring precise measurements of the room you’re buying for, including doorways, stairwells, lifts and hallways — anything your chosen piece may need to pass through.

If you’re replacing or complementing existing furniture, measure those pieces too. A floor plan can help you visualise how something new will sit in the space.

A tape measure is a must — bring it with you.

2. Make a list, and prioritise

It’s easy to be distracted by what’s available. Come with a list of what you’re truly looking for — perhaps a dining table, a bench, or a side cabinet. Note what’s essential and what’s simply desirable. That way, you’ll know when to commit, and when to pause.

3. Set a clear budget

Sample sale prices can offer generous reductions, but they vary and delivery costs will be additional. Have a budget in mind. It’ll help guide your decisions in the moment.

4. Bring photos and swatches

The more context you have, the better. Take photos of your space, and bring fabric, paint or flooring samples with you. Comparing textures, tones and finishes in person helps ensure the piece will truly belong in your home.

5. Expect some imperfections

Sample sale items might include showroom models or prototypes. Inspect them carefully — inside drawers, under tables, around joints and legs. These pieces are priced accordingly, but we still want you to love them for years to come.

If you’re planning to take your purchase home on the day, blankets or towels will help protect it in transit.

6. Know the terms

All sales are final and sold as seen — there are no returns. We recommend taking your time and choosing with care.

7. Timing matters

New items will be added to the floor throughout the day, so if you’re not in first thing, don’t worry — you may still find just the right piece later on.

8. Dress for the occasion

Our furniture is made of solid wood, and it’s heavy. Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. If you’re collecting on the day, gloves with grip can be helpful.

9. Plan your transport

If you’re arranging your own collection, this must happen by 2pm Sunday 22 June. Unfortunately, we can’t offer storage beyond that date.

We can also arrange delivery for you at an additional cost, just speak with our team on the day.

We look forward to seeing you.
Whether you’re searching for something specific or open to the unexpected, our sample sale is a rare opportunity to bring home a piece of Another Country — at a fraction of the price, but with all the same integrity.
