Earlier this summer, the Modern House paid a visit to Another Country founder Paul de Zwart’s Dorset home to make a short film about the cottage and its surrounding area. Since buying the house with his wife, managing director of creative agency Winkreative, Ariel Childs, 20 years ago, the cottage in Dorset has been transformed into a refined yet relaxed take on the English country cottage idiom.
Over the years, more Another Country furniture has inevitably made its way into the house. The main living and dining space is now furnished with a Dining Table Two and black Hardy Chairs, a Hardy Side Table and a Coffee Table Four sit next to the original Søren Lund SL60 sofa and armchair set, whilst a Day Bed One and a Fold Chair prototype hold centre stage in the 16th century sitting room. Meanwhile, the Summer House, a perfect hideaway in the grounds, is furnished with a comfortable Another Sofa and Coffee Table Two.
